As a valued member of the veterinary community, you’ll receive:
Managing claims has never been easier. Follow these two simple steps:
Email a copy of the fully paid invoice and clinical notes to [email protected]. Include your client’s Petsy policy number and pet’s name in the subject line.
We’ll take care of the rest!
Petsy offers a range of tools to support your clinic and simplify the
pet insurance process:
Absolutely, registered veterinarians can purchase policies from us and treat their own pets. The coverage you receive is the same as for any other policyholder, but there are some restrictions regarding claims and other procedures that apply to vets treating their own pets.
When you submit a claim for treatment provided to your pet, we need the full clinical history and a tax invoice that shows that the payment has been made, including any staff discounts you’ve applied. Reimbursement is calculated based on the amount you’ve actually paid, so if you use a staff discount, the reimbursement will be based on the discounted price. We might also ask for additional proof of payment for these claims.
If you’re looking to apply to reduce exclusion periods for Specified Conditions, or if you want us to review the pre-existing symptoms and conditions, the supporting examination or assessment must be completed by a registered veterinarian other than yourself. This ensures objectivity in evaluating the request.
We offer a special 30% discount on premiums for veterinary professionals that will continue after renewals. Book a call through our vet concierge to apply this discount to your policy.
Petsy Pet Insurance stands out with award-winning, highly rated coverage designed with your pet’s needs in mind. We offer extensive coverage that puts your pet’s well-being first, including medical emergencies, cancer, hip issues, optional dental, and other expensive treatments. Enjoy no sub-limits on specific conditions or treatments, customisable policies, and flexible annual excess options, including zero excess (not per condition or per claim like some others).
Plus, with friendly support from our Australia-based team and a generous annual limit of up to $30,000, you can be confident your pet can receive the care they need. Join before your pet’s first birthday to receive a special annual limit bonus of up to $30,000.
