Loved by pet owners Australia wide.

We had been recommended Petsy by some friends and now we do that same recommending. Great service. We will continue to recommend to others as they have been fantastic for us.

Jason Peterson - October 2021

I have found Petsy really reliable, they communicate well and they want what’s best for you and your pet.

Kaitlin Mason - December 2021

Amazing service and caring people. Couldn't speak more highly of the company and people. Just love our fur babies and they made it so easy for us to have peace of mind that our babies our cared for and protected if anything should ever happen. Seriously can not speak more highly of them. Definitely recommend to everyone 🙂

What’s covered and what’s not?

A Petsy Pet Insurance policy is designed to provide cover for a portion (80% or 90%) of the cost of necessary treatment provided to your pet by, or under the supervision of, a vet to relieve or cure an illness or injury. This may include, but is not limited to, hospitalisation, surgery, x-rays, medication, diagnostic tests, nursing and other care and procedures.

There are waiting periods applicable to different conditions and there are some conditions/illnesses that are not included as standard, but you have an option of including them in your cover. View Optional Extra Benefits.

To help you better understand the coverage, we’ve created the following table to show the types of conditions/illnesses covered where they are not a pre-existing condition, don’t occur during an applicable waiting period and subject to determining if there are any other exclusions applicable.

Useful Information

Insurance for the unexpected

Pet insurance is made for unexpected injuries and illnesses, so regular vet check-ups, elective or preventative treatments aren’t covered.

Waiting periods apply

Once your pet insurance policy starts, there are five different waiting periods to keep in mind before you can file a claim. Injury and illness (including symptoms of) that occurs during a waiting period are pre-existing conditions too:

Pre-existing Conditions

There is no cover under this policy for vet costs for treatment of Pre-existing Conditions. However, if your pet’s condition was temporary and has been cured with medication, you can apply for an exception
