Although the Wirehaired Vizsla sheds, it does not shed as much as other breeds. Their coarse coat is simple to maintain and does not take you so much time. Brush them every now and then to remove dirt and dead tissue. Occasional baths will be needed or whenever you think that they already stink.
Keeping them clean and neat does not take so much effort. Begin accustoming them to being brushed and examined when they are still puppy. Their coarse, medium-length coat will need to be taken care of with gentle brushing.
If your dog's nails don't break off naturally, trim them once or twice a month to avoid painful tears and other issues. They should have their ears tested once a week for redness or a foul odour, which may mean an infection.
Your weekly examination will allow you to detect possible health issues early.
The Wirehaired Vizsla is a high-energy breed that needs plenty of training. They need at least 60 minutes of daily exercise. They enjoy hanging with their friends and enjoy doing activities with them. This makes the breed an excellent canine companion for those who enjoy hiking, bicycling, or jogging.
And because of their high hunting instinct, it is best to play with them in a tightly fenced yard.
Regular visits to their vet will ensure their health and well-being. Schedule at least twice a year veterinary care or as recommended depending on your dog's state. In these visits, your vet will complete a physical examination, take your dog's temperature and check his heartbeat, among other things.
Discuss with your vet any concerns you think needs immediate attention as it is a key part of preventative care.

The Wirehaired Vizslas are energetic and intelligent, but they get bored quickly. This can make preparation a little challenging at times, so make an effort to keep sessions enjoyable, informative, and short. And because they are sensitive harsh language or physical punishment should be avoided because of their gentle nature.
However, generally, they are lively, cheerful dogs who enjoy pleasing people, so they won't really burden you.
Vizslas are very affectionate and can make great friends with other domestic pets. They can easily get along well with cats and other dogs, especially if they are raised with them!
