Jackie Tan is a veterinary medicine student at the University of Sydney with clinical experience from the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (VES) Hospital in Singapore. Jackie has a particular passion for small animal care, with specific interests in orthopaedics, nutrition, and dermatology. Having gained hands on experience in both general practice and emergency settings, Jackie has cared for a wide range of patients and conditions. A keen interest in innovative treatment options led Jackie to research osteoarthritis therapies, exploring affordable alternatives to surgery such as low level laser therapy and platelet rich plasma injections. This curiosity about accessible, evidence based care naturally extended to an interest in the role of pet insurance in supporting pet owners, aligning with Jackie’s work contributing to Petsy Pet Insurance.
